Pet-Friendly Restaurants in Tossa de Mar

The only Michelin-starred restaurant in Tossa, set in a stone fisherman`s house leaning against the Vila Vella walls. Chef-brothers Xavier and Josep Lores work a Costa Brava market menu (cim i tom, suquet, Empordà red mullet) with a small slate terrace just outside the medieval Portal. Listed on the Ajuntament heritage register for the building, and on the Pyrénées-Méditerranée Slow Food guide.

A long-running Catalan seafood house set inside the Vila Vella walls on the Plaça Roig i Soler, with a stone-floor terrace overlooking the medieval cisterns and the ruined Església de Sant Vicenç. Catch lands from the Tossa cofradia each morning a hundred metres downhill. Specialises in cim i tom and arròs negre.

A family-run Catalan institution two streets back from the Passeig del Mar, opened by the Vilaret family in 1955 with the same menu rotation for seventy years. No written carte: the waiter calls out what came off the Tossa boats that day. A Slow Food and Km0 Catalan member, with the front room opening onto a leafy patio.
