The 12th-century walled medieval town that crowns the Cap de Tossa headland, with four 12th-13th-century watchtowers (Torre d`en Joanร s, Torre de les Hores, Torre de la Mare de Dรฉu, Torre del Codolar), full battlemented ramparts and the Gothic ruins of the Sant Vicenรง castle church inside. Declared a Spanish National Cultural Heritage site (Bรฉ Cultural d`Interรจs Nacional) in 1931, this is the only fortified medieval centre that survives on the entire Catalan coast.
