Brauhaus Sion
Altstadt-Nord · Unter Taschenmacher 5-7, 50667 Köln
One of Cologne's oldest Brauhäuser, with roots traced to 1318 on the same street. Brauhaus Sion serves traditional Kölsch in the classic long-stemmed glasses (Stangen) brought by roving Köbes servers. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the cobblestone terrace. The food is Rhineland staples: Himmel un Ääd (black pudding with mashed potatoes and apple sauce), Reibekuchen (potato fritters), and halve Hahn (rye bread with cheese). Central location, 5-min walk from Cologne Cathedral.
💡 Köbes servers automatically bring a new Kölsch when yours is empty — place a coaster on top of your glass to signal you're done.
