Occupying a vast converted warehouse inside Darwin Ecosystème, Magasin Général is a canteen-style restaurant that seats hundreds and operates at the cheerful, chaotic pace of a market hall. The food is simple, generous, and locally sourced. The outdoor terrace stretches along the Garonne riverfront and dogs of all sizes roam freely at the feet of the long communal tables. On warm evenings, it is one of the great free-spirited dining experiences in southwestern France. Arrive hungry and without a reservation — neither is needed.
