Miroir d'Eau
Quais / Saint-Pierre · Place de la Bourse, Bordeaux
The largest reflecting pool in the world, the Miroir d'Eau sits facing the magnificent Place de la Bourse on the left bank of the Garonne. It alternates between a glass-smooth water phase and a theatrical mist phase every 23 minutes. Dogs are permitted in the outdoor area and regularly wade through the water phase when the shallow layer refreshes. The contrast between the ancient stone façade of the Bourse and the modern reflecting pool makes for extraordinary photography. Early morning visits with your dog before the crowds arrive are particularly special.
💡 Check the phase cycle timing. The mist phase runs every 23 minutes and lasts about 8 minutes. The water phase is when dogs can wade in.
