Quais de Bordeaux
Left Bank ยท Quai des Chartrons to Quai de la Paludate, Bordeaux
The Quais de Bordeaux is a 4.5km UNESCO World Heritage riverside promenade stretching along the left bank of the Garonne. Dogs are welcome on a leash throughout and the broad granite paving and tree-lined sections make for one of the finest urban riverside walks in France. The Miroir d'Eau, a vast shallow reflecting pool installed near the Place de la Bourse, is a particular highlight: dogs are permitted in the outdoor area and many wade into the shallow water during summer. The quais connect directly to the Pont de Pierre for a natural circuit.
๐ก The best access point for dogs is near the Chartrons district. The stone steps down to the water's edge allow dogs to drink directly from the Garonne
