Jardรญn del Turia
City-wide ยท Jardรญn del Turia, Valencia (9km linear park across the city)
The Jardรญn del Turia is one of the most remarkable urban parks in Europe โ a 9-kilometre linear green corridor built in the dry bed of the River Turia after it was diverted following the catastrophic 1957 flood. Where water once ran, there are now cycling paths, shaded promenades, sports pitches, playgrounds, and the Gulliver Park (the famous giant climbing sculpture that children love). Dogs must be on leash throughout, but the park is dog-friendly in the fullest sense: other dog owners nod in greeting, cafรฉs at the park's edge bring out water bowls, and the long, shaded corridors make it ideal for morning or evening walks even in the height of summer.
๐ก Enter near the Palau de la Mรบsica for the most scenic stretch. Walk west toward Bioparc for a full 2-hour dog walk
