Playa de las Arenas โ Northern Dog Section
๐ก Look for the 'Zona Canina' signage at the northern end near the harbour. This is the clearest dog-permitted zone in summer
Valencia's Mediterranean coastline is one of its greatest assets, but the beach rules for dogs require some knowledge to navigate. The main city beaches โ Malvarrosa and Las Arenas โ ban dogs on the main stretch from May to September, which covers the entire main swimming season. However, there are specific dog-friendly sections and alternative beaches nearby where dogs are genuinely welcome year-round or in designated zones. The key is knowing where to go. Out of season (October to April), the rules relax considerably and you can often walk the full length of the beach with your dog on leash without any issue. The three options below cover the main dog-accessible beach options around Valencia.

๐ก The Paseo Marรญtimo is excellent for early morning walks year-round. In summer, arrive before 09:00 before the heat builds โ the sea breeze makes it one of the most pleasant spots in the city

๐ก Reachable by car in 15 minutes or by bus line 25 from Valencia. Go on a weekday to have the pine-backed beach almost to yourself
