Dog-Friendly Parks in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

The 475 m Sa Talaia is the highest point on Ibiza and the signature hike of the municipality. The trailhead is a 5 min walk from the Sant Josep village plaza; the marked path climbs steadily through Aleppo pine and sabina forest for about 2 h round-trip, ending at a panoramic stone tower with views from Sant Antoni bay to Es Vedrà and Formentera. Leashed dogs welcome year-round; bring water and a folding bowl as there is no fountain on the route.

The Parc Natural de Ses Salines d'Eivissa i Formentera is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve covering the active salt pans, the dunes around the airport, and the Posidonia seagrass meadow underwater. A network of marked walking trails crosses the salinas dykes from the Sant Francesc de s'Estany visitor area, dotted with flamingo viewpoints in winter and spring. Leashed dogs welcome on all marked trails year-round; dogs are not allowed on the protected wetland banks themselves or on Ses Salines and Es Cavallet beaches in summer.

Es Cubells is a tiny clifftop village south of Sant Josep, set on a 100 m limestone bluff facing Formentera. The whitewashed church plaza, the headland trail along the bluff and the descent toward Sa Pedrera (the Atlantis quarry-cove popular with sunset hikers) form a 3 km out-and-back loop with leashed dogs welcome year-round. The Atlantis descent is steep, sun-exposed and unmarked past the first kilometre; treat it as a fair-weather, fit-dog walk only.
