Dogs over 6kg require a €7.50 muzzle-on-lead ticket purchased at the counter or via the SNCF app before boarding. The Gare de Rouen-Rive-Droite is central and within easy walking distance of most hotels and the historic quarter. There is no high-speed TGV service on this route - trains are classic Intercités which tend to be more relaxed about dogs than busy TGV services.

The A150 connects directly into Rouen from the north (Le Havre direction). Parking is plentiful in central Rouen: the Parking de la Cathédrale and Parking Saint-Marc are the most convenient for the historic quarter. Travelling by car is the easiest option for large dogs or multiple pets, and allows you to stop at rest areas (aires) on the A13 which all have grass walking areas for dogs.
