Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Haarlem, Grote Markt & Spaarne Terraces

A working craft brewery and bistro set inside the former Jacobskerk, a 15th-century church converted in 2010 into Haarlem's most recognisable dining room with copper brewing tanks under the gothic vault. Dogs are welcome on the wide cobbled terrace facing the Raaks square and in the ground-floor brewery café; the upstairs restaurant prefers leashed dogs under the table. The kitchen pairs Jopen beers with sharing plates, mussels in season, and a long Dutch cheese board.

A 1-Michelin-star fine-dining room beside the Grote Sint-Bavokerk that, unusually for its category, accepts well-behaved dogs at lunch on the cobbled Klokhuisplein terrace facing the cathedral apse. Chef Mark Gratama runs a tight French-Dutch tasting menu using produce from his own kitchen garden. Reserve the terrace explicitly and mention the dog at booking; the indoor dining room is reserved for guests without pets.
