Dénia has no train station of the conventional kind, but since 2022 the TRAM Metropolitano d'Alacant extension on the FGV narrow-gauge line connects Dénia to Benidorm and Alicante along a scenic coastal route, and small dogs in carriers travel free. The town itself is walkable end-to-end in 30 minutes, and the headline transport story for visiting dog owners is the Baleària ferry network out of the port: daily sailings to Eivissa (Ibiza), Palma de Mallorca and Formentera, with dedicated pet cabins available on request. No airport in town, the nearest options are ALC Alicante 1 hour south or VLC Valencia 1h30 north on the AP-7 autovía.
