Dog Beaches near Delft, Kijkduin & Scheveningen North Sea Coast

The southern of The Hague's two main beaches, 12 km from Delft, with a year-round off-leash dog zone at both ends of the strip and the entire 4 km beach open to off-leash dogs from October 1 to March 1. Backed by the protected Westduinpark dunes (extra leashed dune trails). Quieter and wilder than Scheveningen even in summer, with a small line of beach pavilions and easy bus access from The Hague Central.

The Netherlands' most famous urban beach, 25 km from Delft, with dedicated off-leash dog zones at both the northern end (toward the harbour) and the southern end (toward Kijkduin) all year round. From November 1 to February 28, the entire 4.5 km Scheveningen beach is open to off-leash dogs at all hours. The boulevard pavilions stay open in winter and several keep heated indoor dog corners.

A wild, windswept, virtually empty 6 km stretch of artificial dune coast at the very western tip of the Rotterdam Europoort, 30 km southwest of Delft. Year-round off-leash for dogs on the entire signed hondenstrand, with views of giant container ships entering the Maasgeul. No cafés, no facilities, just sand, dunes and sea; bring your own water. The most genuinely wild dog beach in the Randstad.
