The Hague

A 13th-century pond ringed by the parliamentary complex, freely accessible to leashed dogs around the courtyards and the lakeside walk. The Binnenhof's interior is closed for renovation until 2028, but the outside loop remains one of the country's most photogenic walks.

An L-shaped chestnut-tree avenue lined with embassies and museums, host each summer to a free open-air sculpture exhibition. Leashed dogs share in the cultural setting with no ticket required.

A 17th-century country estate of 100 hectares in Benoordenhout, with formal gardens, ponds, and a working farm. Leashed dogs are admitted everywhere except the Japanese Garden, which opens only six weeks a year.
