Pedion tou Areos (Field of Ares)
Athens' largest central park, the Pedion tou Areos (Field of Ares) is a shaded, tree-lined park running from Patision Street to Alexandria Avenue. Dogs on-leash are welcome throughout. The long tree-lined alleys provide shade even in summer, making this one of the more comfortable parks to visit in the warmer months. Multiple entry points make it easy to access from central Athens or the National Archaeological Museum nearby. A popular morning walking spot for local dog owners.
Off-leash zone: On-leash required throughout. Tree-lined paths provide good shade
๐ก Go before 09:00 in summer โ the park is cool and nearly empty in early morning
