Sóller

The central square, its café terraces and fountain come alive before the Modernista facade of Sant Bartomeu. The square and forecourt are enjoyed on a leash, but the church interior is off-limits to dogs.

The 1913 wooden tram links the square to Port de Sóller over five kilometres through the orchards. Dogs kept leashed and muzzled are accepted on the open platforms, best confirmed with the driver in high season.

The 1912 narrow-gauge train crosses thirteen tunnels between Palma and Sóller for a scenic one-hour ride. Small leashed and muzzled dogs are usually admitted, but check the current policy at the station before boarding.

The port's round bay, its promenade and the path climbing to the Cap Gros lighthouse offer one of the finest views on the coast. The promenade and lighthouse trail are walked on a leash; the main beach is regulated in summer.

The rural lanes winding between orange trees, lemon trees and dry-stone walls run down from the valley towards Biniaraix. Open-air paths to walk on a leash, shaded in the morning and very sun-exposed in the afternoon.

The botanical garden showcases the endemic flora of the Balearics and the western Mediterranean at the foot of the Tramuntana. Like most botanical gardens, it does not admit dogs; plan an alternative for this visit.
