Oviedo è una città compatta e facile da esplorare a piedi, con un Casco Antiguo senza auto, quindi gran parte di una visita pet-friendly avviene camminando. Per le distanze più lunghe, la rete di autobus urbani (TUA) accetta cani piccoli in trasportino, la RENFE e la linea a scartamento ridotto FEVE collegano Oviedo a Gijón e alla costa asturiana (i cani piccoli viaggiano in trasportino, quelli più grandi hanno bisogno di museruola e guinzaglio corto), gli autobus ALSA servono la regione e tutta la Spagna, e l'aeroporto delle Asturie (OVD) si trova a circa 40 minuti in auto o navetta a nord-ovest. Oviedo non ha il tram.

Walking the City
Oviedo`s casco antiguo is small, flat and almost entirely pedestrian, linking the Catedral de San Salvador, Plaza del Fontán, the Mercado del Fontán and Calle Gascona within a few hundred metres, all easy to cover on lead. From the centre it is a 15-minute walk to the Campo de San Francisco and a longer uphill route or short taxi to the pre-Romanesque churches of Monte Naranco. The compact scale makes Oviedo one of the most relaxed Spanish cities to explore with a dog.
