Dog-Friendly Beaches near Venice

The Lido's northern end (near the ferry terminal for Punta Sabbioni) has a section of beach that permits dogs. This is the designated dog-friendly area on the Lido. Specific rules and boundaries change each year — verify with the local Comune di Venezia or ask at the vaporetto stop on arrival. Outside the June–September bathing season, dogs are generally permitted on most of the Lido's beach.

Jesolo is a large beach resort north of Venice on the northern Adriatic. It has a well-established designated dog beach (spiaggia per cani) section with facilities including showers and a bar. Generally considered one of the better-organised dog beaches in the Veneto region. Accessible by bus from Piazzale Roma in Venice.

The Cavallino peninsula, between Venice and Jesolo, has quieter beaches and a designated dog-friendly beach section. A good alternative to the busier Jesolo resort if you prefer a less crowded environment. Reachable by boat from Punta Sabbioni or by bus from Piazzale Roma.
