The most famous landmark on the Dutch coast, a long pier reaching out over the North Sea with terraces, food stalls, a Ferris wheel and panoramic views back to the shore. Leashed dogs are allowed on the pier deck, making it a fine stroll with sea on every side. It is a good rainy-or-windy-day outing when the open beach feels bleak.
