Saranda has no fenced dog parks, but it is genuinely walkable and the surrounding hills offer excellent leashed walks with sweeping Ionian Sea and Corfu views. The off-season (mid-September to early May) is the best time, when the seafront and trails are quiet and dogs can roam more freely. Keep your dog leashed wherever the area's friendly but numerous street dogs gather.
The long palm-lined promenade curving around Saranda's bay is the city's main dog-walking artery, with trees to sniff, sea breezes, and constant Corfu views across the strait. It is busy with people and resident street dogs in summer but calm and pleasant for leashed walks in the off-season.
