Dog-Friendly Attractions in Porto

The grounds of the Serralves Foundation cover 18 hectares of meticulously maintained gardens, woodland, and formal landscaping. Dogs are allowed in the park grounds on a leash. The park includes a farm area, rose garden, and tree-lined promenade. Park entry has a separate ticket from the museum. A calm, off-tourist-trail alternative to the busy Ribeira area, and one of the most beautiful places in Porto to spend a morning with a dog.

Porto's most iconic public space — a UNESCO World Heritage area running along the Douro River beneath the Dom Luís I Bridge. Dogs are welcome in all outdoor areas. The walk from Ribeira to the foot of Dom Luís I Bridge and across to the Gaia wine lodge side takes about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace, free of charge. Both the upper and lower bridge decks are pedestrian-accessible and dog-friendly. Crossing the upper deck gives elevated city panoramas.
