Piran has no airport of its own. The nearest gateway is Trieste (TRS) across the Italian border, about 30 minutes by car. Ljubljana Jože Pučnik (LJU) is around 1 h 30 by car or shared shuttle, and Pula (PUY) in Croatian Istria is roughly 1 h 30. Slovenian Railways has no station in Piran (the nearest is Koper, 18 km away).
