Paris has two principal emergency veterinary options for visiting pet owners: a large private 24-hour clinic in the southern suburbs, and one of the finest veterinary teaching hospitals in Europe at the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort, just east of the city. Both are equipped for serious emergencies including surgery, imaging, and intensive care. For non-urgent care, Paris also has an excellent network of general practitioners and specialist clinics throughout the central arrondissements, but the two addresses below are the most important to have on hand for genuine emergencies.
