Dog-Friendly Beaches and Waterside Areas in Paris

Paris is not a coastal city, but it has genuine waterside culture, and some of it is dog-friendly. The Seine's banks have been progressively reclaimed from traffic since the early 2010s, creating kilometre-long stretches of riverside space that double as urban beaches in summer. Paris Plages, the city's annual temporary beach event (July to August), transforms the Right Bank quays near the Hôtel de Ville into a sandy, deckchaired promenade where dogs are welcome on certain sections. Year-round, the Bois de Vincennes lakeside remains the best option for a dog who actually wants to get in the water.
