For a city where so many of the most desirable experiences (museum visits, fine dining, theatre) do not admit dogs, having a reliable local petsitter is genuinely useful — particularly for solo travellers or couples who want to spend a few hours at the Louvre or the Musée d'Orsay without worrying about their dog. Book at least a week in advance for peak season (July, August, school holiday periods), and always arrange a meet-and-greet before leaving your dog for the first time.
