Café de Flore
Saint-Germain-des-Prés · 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris
One of the great Parisian institutions, and one that has never really needed a pet policy because dogs have always been there. Sartre wrote here. Beauvoir wrote here. Their dogs, presumably, waited under the table. The terrace on the Boulevard Saint-Germain is one of the finest people-watching spots in Paris, and dogs on the terrace are a given. Inside, well-behaved dogs are tolerated with the kind of Parisian indifference that is actually a form of welcome. The hot chocolate is among the best in the city.
💡 Go on a Tuesday morning in autumn. The terrace is quieter and you can actually stay as long as you like with your dog
