Dog-Friendly Beaches in Palamós

A 300 m sand and pine-fringed cove protected from development on the north Palamós coastline, with the Castell de Sant Esteve ruins on the clifftop south and the Cap de Planes promontory north. The Ajuntament de Palamós ordenança designates a signposted dog-beach zone on the northern section, accessible year-round on a leash. Free roadside parking 400 m inland, small chiringuito (summer), no formal services on the dog section.

A 200 m pebble and gravel postcard cove framed by a tight row of white-and-blue fishermen huts (some classified as Bé Cultural d'Interès Nacional) climbing the steep slope above the water. One of the most photographed coves of the entire Costa Brava; the row of barraques de pescadors is the postcard image of central Palamós. Accessed only on foot from the GR-92 Camí de Ronda. Not supervised in summer, leashed dogs tolerated year-round outside the June 15-September 15 sand-bathing window.

A 300 m sand and gravel fjord-like cove 2 km north of Palamós centre, sheltered by the Castell de Sant Esteve clifftop on the south and a pine headland on the north, with its own small village of summer chalets and a Passeig de la Fosca seafront promenade. One of the calmest swimming bays of central Palamós and the access trailhead north for the Camí de Ronda GR-92 to Cala S'Alguer and Platja del Castell. Supervised in summer with the standard ban on dogs, leash-tolerated outside June 15-September 15.
