Dog-Friendly Beaches in Marbella

Marbella's flagship designated dog beach, a 250 m off-leash strip on the eastern side of the centre. Recent municipal upgrades added freshwater dog showers and drinking fountains. The off-leash zone is reserved for dogs and their owners (human swimming is not permitted in the canine strip itself); the rest of the beach functions as a regular supervised beach with leashed dog access outside the June-September peak.

The second municipal dog beach, a 250 m off-leash strip at the western end of Nueva Andalucía's beach, with darker semi-urban sand and a width of roughly 25 m. Open March to September from 09:00 to 22:00. Less developed in services than El Pinillo but quieter on weekday mornings and closer to Puerto Banús hotels.

A 1.2 km natural beach backed by the protected Las Dunas de Artola Natural Monument, the only surviving dune system on the western Costa del Sol. Cabopino is officially a nudist beach, not a designated dog beach, but locals use the easternmost section informally with leashed dogs outside the peak supervised window. Walk only on the boardwalks across the dune system, the vegetation is protected.
