Parks & Green Spaces in Cannes

Cannes' main urban park, set on a hillside north of the Croisette with mature trees, rose beds, and a children's play area. The park has several distinct levels connected by paths that wind through the greenery, offering shaded walks that are a relief from the Riviera sun. Dogs on leads are routine here — mornings see a steady stream of locals doing their daily circuit. The park is quiet on weekday mornings and busier on weekend afternoons with families. Water fountains are available in summer and the park has enough space to let a medium dog stretch its legs properly.

A quieter, more residential park set in the Montfleury neighbourhood above the centre. Less visited by tourists than the Roseraie, Montfleury is where Cannes residents actually walk their dogs — particularly the early morning crowd before the heat builds. The park has flat and gentle paths through tree cover, with a few open grass sections. The neighbourhood around it is pleasant to walk through, with tree-lined residential streets that make for a calm circuit after the park.

The old hill town of Cannes — rising steeply above the old port — functions as a superb walking circuit for dogs. The winding cobbled lanes, steep stairways, and open terraces at the top (with views across the Lérins Islands and the bay of Cannes) make for an engaging 45-minute walk that no flat city park can match. Dogs on leads are the norm in Le Suquet and the old town's residents are entirely accustomed to passing dogs. The circuit up through Rue du Suquet and back down via different lanes is a morning ritual for many local dog owners.
