Dog-Friendly Attractions in Bregenz

The world's largest floating opera stage, whose monumental sets rise straight out of the Bodensee. Dogs cannot attend performances, but the spectacular set is best photographed anyway by day from the free lakeside promenade, dog at your side.

Bregenz's walled medieval upper town, crowned by the Martinsturm with its giant onion dome, one of the largest in Central Europe. Quiet cobbled lanes, city-wall views over the lake and barely any traffic make it the calmest old-town dog walk on the Bodensee.

A free alpine wildlife park on the Pfänder's circular summit trail, with ibex, marmots, deer and wild boar in large enclosures. Leashed dogs may walk the 30-minute loop, an unusual treat since most wildlife parks turn dogs away.
