Practical Tips for Visiting Brașov with a Dog

• 1.Brașov is in active brown-bear territory. Never hike Tâmpa or surrounding forests at dusk, dawn or night; never let your dog off-lead in the forest; make noise on lower slopes; do not leave food (even dog kibble) outside hotel rooms or in cars.
• 2.Romania uses the Romanian leu (RON, ~5 RON = €1), not the euro. Hotel websites may quote in EUR but the bill is paid in RON. Cards are accepted almost everywhere in the centre; carry RON 100 in cash for taxis, bag-dispensers and rural day trips.
