Dog-Friendly Parks in Brașov

The forested 960 m peak that rises directly behind the old town, crowned by the giant white BRAȘOV Hollywood-style sign. Multiple marked hiking trails (yellow triangle, red triangle) start from the foot of Strada Castelului and climb 1–1.5 hours to the summit, or you can take the cable car. Dogs on lead are welcome on all forest trails; the cable car accepts muzzled dogs or small dogs in carriers.

The largest formal urban park in Brașov, eight hectares of lawn, mature plane trees and a long central promenade in the Tractorul residential district north-west of the centre. Popular with local dog walkers morning and evening; the perimeter loop is 1.2 km on tarmac and well-lit at night. Dogs on lead only; bag dispensers at the main entrances.

Brașov's central park, four hectares set around a small artificial lake and the Patinoarul Olimpic ice rink, between the old town and the Centrul Civic district. Tree-lined alleys and benches; the lake loop is 600 m on tarmac. Dogs on lead are welcome on all paths; the children's playground area is fenced and pets are not permitted inside it.
