Dog-Friendly Beaches in Antibes

La Salis is the long crescent of sand between the Vieille Ville and the Cap d'Antibes, framed by Antibes' best skyline view of the medieval town. The municipal rule bans dogs during the bathing season (mid-June to mid-September); outside that window, leashed dogs are entirely at home on the beach and the locals walk theirs there in the early morning year-round. Out of season, the western end and the pine fringe behind the sand are particularly relaxed.

The Sentier du Littoral around the southern tip of Cap d'Antibes drops down to small rocky coves and pebble shelves all year. Dogs on leads are explicitly welcome on the path itself (official tourism site) and the coves are not classed as supervised beaches, so the seasonal dog ban does not apply. Sandals or grippy shoes are needed: the rocks are slippery when wet.

A small, less-known cove on the western side of the Cap, accessed from the Sentier du Littoral. Like other municipal beaches in Antibes it bans dogs during the bathing season, but it is much quieter than La Salis or La Garoupe in the shoulder months. The water is calm enough for an old dog to wade in October or May.
