Seville

Seville's lush 40-hectare park is the dog-walking heart of the city, laced with fountains, ponds, and Moorish-style tiled benches. Leashed dogs welcome everywhere except inside the Plaza de España monument itself.

The semicircular 1929 Ibero-American Expo masterpiece is accessible to leashed dogs on the outer promenade and bridge plazas, a superb photo stop. Rowboat rental on the canal is not pet-permitted.

Neither UNESCO monument admits pets (except assistance dogs), but the surrounding Barrio de Santa Cruz is a labyrinth of dog-friendly patios and tapas terraces. Plaza del Triunfo outside both sites is leash-walkable.

The Paseo de Nuestra Señora de a O on the Triana side is Seville's classic evening dog walk, with flamenco-history bars spilling onto the riverbank. Cross the 1852 Puente de Isabel II for iconic cathedral views at sunset.

The world's largest wooden structure shades Plaza de a Encarnación, a rare cool daytime refuge in summer, with leashed dogs welcome underneath. The rooftop walkway requires a ticket and pets are not allowed up top.

North of the centre, the Parque del Alamillo is Seville's largest green space and has generous off-leash zones where locals take big dogs to run before the heat sets in. Reachable on foot across the 1992 Alamillo Bridge.
