Barcelona's main central park (17 ha) is the favourite meeting point for dogs and their owners. Open lawns, a boating lake and shaded paths. Dogs can go off-leash in designated areas in the morning.

Gaudí's park welcomes dogs in its free areas (the majority of the park). The paid monumental zone does not accept pets. Walk the upper terraces for stunning views over the city.

Barcelona's main beaches (Barceloneta, Bogatell) are closed to dogs from June to September. Off-season, dogs are tolerated early in the morning. Llevant beach (north of Barceloneta) has an official dog zone open year-round.

The Gràcia neighbourhood is Barcelona's most dog-friendly: lively terraces, intimate squares like Plaça del Sol, and residents accustomed to dogs. The Eixample's wide pavements make for ideal window-shopping walks.

The Collserola natural park (8,000 ha) overlooks Barcelona and offers dozens of kilometres of trails where dogs can run freely. Accessible by FGC from Plaça Catalunya. Ideal for a morning hike before returning to the city.

The basilica interior is off-limits to animals. However, the square and exterior gardens are open to enjoy the architecture from outside, and many nearby cafés welcome dogs on their terraces.
