Maspalomas

The 19th-century lighthouse marking the island's southern tip. The surrounding Boulevard El Faro is an open-air promenade where leashed dogs are welcome. Free, and lovely at sunset.

The iconic dune field, a protected special nature reserve. Dogs are banned here as on the beach: admire it from the viewpoints and marked paths around the edge.

A saltwater lagoon and bird habitat at the foot of the lighthouse. Leashed dogs are allowed on the boardwalk and surrounding paths, but not in the reserve itself. Bring binoculars.

A wide paved seafront promenade between the lighthouse and the cliffs, lined with terraces. The easiest place in Maspalomas to stroll with a leashed dog and a sea view.

The nearest official dog beach, about 20 minutes west, opened by Mogán in February 2026. Limited hours, roughly 07:00 to 10:00 and 18:00 to 21:00, within a marked zone.

The residential town behind the resorts, with shops, veterinary clinics and Parque Tony Gallardo. This is where the local life and practical services for a dog are found.
