One of the closest official Spiagge Cani to Naples (~30 km), registered with the BauWatch Italia network. Dogs can swim off-leash in a dedicated zone, with fresh-water showers, shaded umbrellas, and a small bar. Entry fee around €10/day.
💡 Book in advance by phone in July–August, the dog zone caps at ~30 dogs and fills by 10:00 on weekends.
A famous rocky cove on the Posillipo coastline, free access, where leashed dogs are tolerated year-round on the rocks (no sandy beach to enforce bans). Views of the Gulf and Vesuvius; dogs cannot legally swim in the summer bathing zone but the rocks just east of the cove are open.
💡 Park at the top of Discesa Marechiaro and walk down, the road narrows to a single lane that's tough with a nervous dog in car traffic.
A wild cove inside the Gaiola marine protected area, accessible by a steep path. Dogs on leash are allowed on the rocks year-round; swimming is prohibited inside the protected zone but the small beach on the north side is usable outside the May–September tourist season.
💡 The access path has ~150 rough stone steps, carry a foldable water bowl and go before 10:00 in July-August to avoid the heat-stress risk.
