Dog-Friendly Attractions in Zakynthos

The grand central square of Zakynthos Town, named after the Zakynthian poet Dionysios Solomos who wrote the words of the Greek national anthem, lined with statues, cafés, and Venetian-style architecture. It is an easy, flat, open space for a leashed stroll, with café terraces nearby where a dog can rest at your feet.

Set on the pine-clad hill above Zakynthos Town at around 117 m, the Venetian castle encloses a forested area with a perimeter walk offering the best panoramic views on the island. The adjoining Bochali viewpoint and village squares are open and dog-friendly, making a leashed visit here a highlight of any trip.

The south-western village of Keri is the gateway to one of the island's most dramatic coastal viewpoints, looking over the twin Mizithres rock islets and the deep-blue Ionian. The clifftop path from the village to the Keri lighthouse is an open-air, leashed-dog-friendly walk with no buildings to enter, just sweeping sea views.
