Villefranche-sur-Mer sits in the middle of the eastern Côte d'Azur rail corridor, on the TER Marseille–Vintimille line. The Gare SNCF de Villefranche-sur-Mer is a 6-minute train from Nice-Ville and 15 minutes from Monaco-Monte-Carlo, with several trains an hour all day. By road, Lignes d'Azur bus 100 runs Nice–Menton along the Lower Corniche every 15 minutes and stops at Villefranche, while Ligne 80 climbs onto the Cap Ferrat peninsula. Inside the town everything is walkable, but the gradient is steep, the stepped lanes of the Vieille Ville are not buggy-friendly. The nearest airport is Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE), 15 minutes by car, taxi or TER (change at Nice-Ville).
