Sentier du Littoral, Cap Ferrat (Pointe Saint-Hospice loop)
Cap Ferrat · Plage de Passable / Pointe Saint-Hospice, 06230 Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The Cap Ferrat coastal footpath is a roughly 10 km loop around the peninsula immediately south of Villefranche, taking in Plage de Passable on the Villefranche-facing side, Pointe Saint-Hospice with its 19th-century chapel and lighthouse, and the eastern side facing Beaulieu. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the public path. Underfoot is paved, gravel and rocky in turns, well shaded by parasol pines and Aleppo pines in several stretches. The full loop takes around three hours at an easy pace; the Pointe Saint-Hospice headland alone is a 90-minute return.
💡 Start from Plage de Passable for the gentlest grade and the cleanest sunrise light over Villefranche. Bring water, there are no fountains on the path. In July and August walk at dawn or after 18:00, the rock can be hot.
