Getting Around Usedom with a Dog

Usedom is easy to reach and to get around with a dog. By car you cross the road bridges at Wolgast or Zecherin; by train you change at Züssow onto the Usedomer Bäderbahn (UBB), the little regional line that threads the whole island from Zinnowitz through Bansin, Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck to the Polish border. Dogs travel on the UBB on a lead, and in the Kaiserbäder and Zinnowitz the resort card (Kurkarte) covers your own UBB journeys on the island, which makes car-free days with a dog genuinely practical. Within the resorts most things are walkable, and bikes travel on the UBB when space allows for a small extra fee.
