Dog-Friendly Attractions in Swinoujscie

Built in yellow brick in the mid-19th century and standing almost 65 metres tall, this is the tallest lighthouse on the Polish Baltic coast and among the tallest on the whole Baltic Sea. The surrounding grounds and viewing area at the base are dog-friendly on a leash; the narrow interior staircase to the lantern room is not practical to climb with a dog.

A distinctive white, windmill-shaped navigation marker built in 1873-1874 to guide ships into the harbour, and one of Swinoujscie's most recognisable symbols. It sits at the end of the promenade near the dog beach, making it a natural photo stop on a leashed walk along the water.

A flat, paved seafront boardwalk that runs from central Swinoujscie all the way to Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin on the German side of Usedom island, said to be one of the longest continuous seaside promenades in Europe at around 12 km. Leashed dogs can walk the entire route; carry ID or a passport since Poland and Germany have reinstated temporary spot checks at this border since 2023.
