Dog-Friendly Attractions in St. Moritz

The Corviglia at 2,486 m is the home mountain of St. Moritz, reached in 7 min by the historic 1928 Chantarella funicular and then a cable car from St. Moritz-Dorf. Leashed dogs are accepted on both legs (small dogs free, large dogs CHF 5 return). The plateau offers the Mathis Food Affairs gourmet stop, a 360-degree panorama from Piz Nair (3,057 m, second cable car up), and the dog-friendly trails down via Suvretta to St. Moritz-Bad. The Schiefer Turm (Leaning Tower of St. Moritz) is the 33 m remnant bell tower of the demolished medieval Church of St. Maurice, leaning 5 degrees from vertical since the 17th century. The adjacent Mauritius Spring is the oldest documented mineral spring in Switzerland, used since the Bronze Age (1411 BC). Muottas Muragl at 2,453 m offers the single most iconic dog-accessible viewpoint of the Engadin: the four lakes of the Upper Engadin spread out below with the Bernina massif behind. The 1907 funicular from Punt Muragl (8 min) accepts leashed dogs at half-fare. At the top, the 2 km circular Philosopher's Trail (Senda Filosofica) with quotes from Nietzsche, Hesse and Adorno is entirely dog-friendly and almost flat.
