Getting Around Sant Antoni with a Pet

Four TIB lines serve Sant Antoni: L3 from Eivissa (every 30 min, 30 min ride, €1.85), L8 from Ibiza Airport (seasonal, every 30-60 min, €4), L9 from Sant Antoni to Cala Comte and Cala Conta (summer beach line), L26 from Sant Antoni to Cala Bassa (summer beach line). Small dogs in carriers travel free. Large dogs are at the driver's discretion (muzzle and leash mandatory), and refusals are common in July-August when buses are packed with tourists.

Trasmapi/Aquabus runs seasonal coastal boats (May to October) from Sant Antoni Port Deportiu down the west coast to Cala Bassa, Cala Conta, and excursion-only sailings to Es Vedrà and the Cala d'Hort viewpoint. Dogs travel on the open outdoor deck only, muzzled or in a carrier, with a small supplement. The scenic west-coast cruise is the most pleasant way to reach Cala Bassa and Cala Comte from town if you are travelling without a car.

Baleària runs a 2h45 fast ferry from Sant Antoni port to Dénia on the Spanish mainland (Costa Blanca), making Sant Antoni the only Ibiza port with a direct mainland connection besides Eivissa. The ferry takes cars, motorhomes and pets; pet cabins are available on the Eleanor Roosevelt fast ferry (book ahead, around €70 per pet cabin). Seasonal Baleària sailings also link Sant Antoni to Palma de Mallorca; Trasmediterránea has run occasional Sant Antoni-Barcelona services in past summers.
