Saint-Tropez has no SNCF train station: the nearest rail head is Saint-Raphaël-Valescure, 45 km away on the Marseille–Vintimille coastal line. From there, the Bateaux de Saint-Raphaël seasonal ferry crosses the gulf in 50 minutes, while year-round Var-Lib bus line 7601 covers the road in around 90 minutes. From Sainte-Maxime directly across the gulf, the Bateaux Verts run a 15-minute crossing. The two regional airports are Toulon-Hyères (TLN, 1 hour) and Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE, 1 h 15). Inside the town itself, everything is walkable; outside the centre, a car or taxi is needed.
