Dog Parks & Walks in Saint-Malo

The granite ramparts form a roughly 2 km loop around the intra-muros old town, offering 360-degree views over the sea, Fort National, the Grand Bé islet and the Plage du Sillon. Dogs are allowed on-leash year-round, making this the most reliable walk in town even in summer when the beaches are closed to dogs. It is the classic Saint-Malo experience for an early-morning or sunset stroll.

A 27-hectare estate of century-old trees, lawns and sculptures overlooking the Rance estuary, with a château at its centre. Dogs are welcome on-leash and waste bags are available at the entrance. The GR34 coastal path runs just below the park, so you can extend a visit into a longer cliff-top walk toward the estuary.

The GR34 customs officers' path traces the entire Breton coast and passes through Saint-Malo, fully accessible to dogs on a leash. The stretches around Saint-Malo and toward Dinard offer dramatic cliff-top sea views and quieter walking than the town centre. It is the best option for a long, scenic outing with an energetic dog.
