The paved seafront promenade running along the inner crescent of the Bahía de Roses, with palm-tree shade, stone benches every 50 m, public fountains and uninterrupted views of the bay to L`Escala on the southern horizon. The longest leashed-dog walk inside the municipality, hugging the Platja de Roses for most of the route.

The southern gateway to the Cap de Creus Natural Park, the easternmost tip of mainland Iberia and Catalonia`s first combined marine and terrestrial protected area (declared 1998). Marked walking trails on raised boardwalks (Itinerari de Mas del Cortalet, Itinerari dels Estanys) start at the Centre d`Informació El Cortalet 10 km south of Roses by the GI-610.
