Ravenna's coastline is a string of nine lidi along the Adriatic, and unlike much of Italy it offers a generous set of dog options. The Comune designates several free beach stretches where dogs are admitted from sunrise to sunset, and a number of equipped bagni run a dedicated 'bau beach' or bau zone with umbrellas and sunbeds for dogs and owners. There is also an early-morning rule worth knowing: from April to November dogs may go on the foreshore and into the sea along the whole coast between roughly 06:00 and 08:00.
