Perugia's big flat park: kilometres of paths along the Genna stream, a small lake with waterbirds, exercise stations and an equipped, fenced area where dogs run free. It sits at the lower Minimetrò terminus, so you can descend from the old town in ten minutes.
An avenue of centuries-old holm oaks ending in a neoclassical exedra, laid out in the 1700s for evening promenades and still used exactly that way. Leashed dogs are a normal sight, and in July the garden hosts open-air concerts and Umbria Jazz side events.
