Dog Walks & Green Spaces in Paros

A roughly 3.7 mile out-and-back stone path winding through the island's green interior from the hill village of Lefkes down to Prodromos, following an old marble-paved route once used by mules and pilgrims. It is the island's signature dog walk, with low traffic, terraced fields and shade in places, best tackled early morning or late afternoon in summer.

The whitewashed lanes of Lefkes climb through the island's greenest, highest village, where the air stays noticeably cooler than the coast and the narrow stepped streets are almost entirely car-free. It makes an easy, shaded stroll for a leashed dog, with tavernas and a central square where you can pause for water.

The paved seafront that runs from Parikia port along the bay gives a flat, open walk with sea breeze and easy access to the water, popular with locals walking dogs in the cool of the morning and evening. It links the harbour, the windmill and the town beaches in a single gentle stretch.
